These lakeside lovers came back home in July to enjoy being with family where their love started out as friendship - the Spread Eagle Chain of Lakes. Elizabeth and Brett knew that they had to incorporate their foundation of where they first met into their engagement photos along with their adorable Golden Retriever!
From the Photographer
Elizabeth and Brett 's love story came right out of a movie. These two grew up on the Spread Eagle Chain of Lakes in Northern Wisconsin. Their families were connected through the Northern Wisconsin lakes where these two met and found a love for water skiing, the water and eventually - each other. Their love for each other blossomed as they shared more common interests from performing at the show water ski team in Wisconsin to hitting the snowy slopes on their skies. Through all of of the competition, their love for each other only grew.

From the Bride:
"Brett and I have been friends for a long time. We both grew up on the Spread Eagle Chain of Lakes. We have been together for 7 years since Brett was a sophomore and Elizabeth was a junior in high school. We skied for the same show ski team and high school ski race team in the winter. Elizabeth waited (sometimes not so patiently) a looooooong time for the proposal! Brett wanted to be done with school and have a full time job lined up, so this past winter after we moved down to Tennessee for Brett's work, we went on a hike up to a frozen waterfall in the mountains, which is where Brett proposed with his Grandmothers ring...and I, of course, said yes!!”
