From the Photographer:
Nvette and Vic started their wedding day with a first look and then reading their vows to one another privately (rather than during the actual ceremony). They then exchanged rings and promised forever in front of their friends and family in an outdoor ceremony at a serene and private location found at Norskedalen Nature and Heritage Center (Coon Valley, WI).
The couple loved the idea of incorporating comic books and super heros (some of Vic's favorites) into the theme, so Nvette made all of the boutonnieres out of comic book pages. After purchasing stems from a local florist and utilizing a family lilac tree, her wedding party made all of their bouquets. Nvette's son (and two year old daughter once she realized she was a bit afraid to go with the other girls) walked the bride down the aisle and served as Vic's ring bearer.
All of the girls were able to choose their own dress, all staying within a certain vintage feel while the guys wore superhero ties and surprise T-shirts! The flower girls wore crowns (made by Nvette) in their hair.
After the ceremony, the couple celebrated in a riverside location (Celebrations on the River) in La Crosse, WI. All of the decor was DIY'd by the couple including the live plant reception table centerpieces and handwritten signs scattered around the wedding.
