Jane and John are both educators living in Connecticut, and with summers off, they decided to celebrate their nuptials in Jane's home state of Wisconsin! It was a destination wedding for many, who traveled from different corners of the country.
Friends and family were a large part of their day; Jane wore a sash hand-stitched by her mother (including a single blue bead as her something blue!) and the two were married by a longtime friend along the Milwaukee River at Hubbard Park Lodge. An emotional part of the ceremony was when Jane's father rose up from his wheelchair to walk her down the aisle, having suffered a bicycle accident only days before. All in attendance were applauding with joy and amazement at this moment, and the smile on Jane's face was priceless.
We lucked out with perfect summer weather, and were able to explore the property for a variety of photo opportunities after I Dos. In true Wisconsin fashion, the reception featured a live polka band, Wisconsin beer, and old-fashioned cocktails. The newlyweds partied with their lively group into the night!
